If you are able to keep all of your hopes in check and control your emotions, the Cardinals are always fun to watch. They are kind of like Forest Gump's box of chocolates.
" You just never know what you're gonna get ". Monday nights game showed us the Cardinals rookie QB, the offense and defense over are capable of playing some pretty darn good football. The problem isn't so much the the players as it is all of those people standing along the sidelines, you know the ones without the helmets and pads. It would seem to me if you're playing a team with the number one rated defense in the NFL and there is no way you can run the ball, perhaps the old passing game may have been an option.

I think the Number 1 issue with the Cardinals is not the name or the coaching staff. It is the lack of spending on the offensive line. You win in the trenches and with Defense. Take a look at last years champions the Steelers and to some extent the Patriot Dynasty. Great offensive lines in both places. Also, the fact that the team is $11 million under the cap and didn't go after any big name offensive linemen during the free agency period should tell everyone something. The
commitment to winning is just not there from ownership. They have their stadium now, so I am sure it will be more of the same.

I hope to see great improvement in the Cardinals future! Matt
Leinart seems to be the gift we have been waiting for. May all their wishes and desires come true.

If you tuned in as I did
during the 2nd quarter you would have thought the Football Gods had
granted an upset game of the season to the Cardinals. Seven years
since they played on home turf for a Monday night game, a new
stadium, a heisman trophy winning quarterback and a 20 - 0 head
start in the second quarter. An upset in the making! But just when
it looked too good to be true, the Bears came out of hibernation and
quite simply, mauled the Cardinals. What does it take to get the
Cardinals on track? Rearranging the coaching staff seems a good
start!

Although both of us are not Cardinals fans, let alone experts, we have been bombarded with the media giving us their comments on last night's game with "The Bears". We are blushing to the thought our team is representing the State of Arizona and think the Cardinals are the laughing stock of this competitive sport.
One of two things, either the coach needs to be replaced or new blood needs to be brought into this team. One man cannot carry this team. A brand new stadium should be represented by a worthy team which the Cardinals are not.
Is there hope or a turn-around in the stars?

I think as long as Arizona leaves the name of it's football team as the Cardinals it will always have a monkey on it's back. Time for a new name to go with the new stadium and new QB. That might take some of the stigma off the team and give the players a new sense of hope. Tennessee changed it's name when it got the Oilers from Houston, and although they did not win the big dance, they went in 1999. Not by choice, but Baltimore changed the Browns to the Ravens and won a
Super Bowl. Although the Rams did not change names and won, I am sure they would have liked to change their name. Took them a few years to win. Anyway, I think this team would love a chance to go to the Super
Bowl in the next few years. Just something for the owners to consider.
