PARADISE
VALLEY - If you like classic wheels, check out Paradise
Valley's second annual 10K vintage car show Saturday.
The public can view more than 100 beauties, from author Clive
Cussler's 1954 Jaguar XK120 to car auctioneer Craig Jackson's
1966 Ford Cobra.
The free event runs from 9 a.m. to noon at Paradise Valley
Town Hall, 6401 E. Lincoln Drive.
Town resident Richard Mahrle is showing his 1963 Alfa Romeo
Giulia Spider. He said the show allows vintage-car owners to
enjoy the vehicles and talk about their collecting passion.
"It's just a very low-key, nice environment for
that," he said.
The show's $50 per car registration fee and T-shirt sales will
benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life and the
Paradise Valley police DARE program. Last year, $4,210 was
raised.
